Discover the visual communication project for Vilarinho Gas Station. Opened in 1985 in Belo Horizonte, the station took its name from the street where it sits. Petrol DESIGN was hired to create the logo for the GM PETRO network, which launched in 2017 with Vilarinho as its first location.
To build the GM PETRO visual communication, our team developed an attractive, impactful, and modern logo. The goal was to convey a clear association with fuel. We used blue, red, and white, chosen strategically to reflect trust, energy, and clarity. These colors helped create a strong, easily recognizable visual identity aligned with the GM PETRO network’s values.
For the station design, our goal was to be both modern and welcoming. We incorporated subtly rounded elements for a fluid, smooth look that conveys comfort to customers. We carefully planned the logo placement on the canopy fascia so the brand stands out clearly and powerfully, and we developed a totem and price sign that are highly visible and legible, easing communication with consumers. We clad the columns in neutral colors for a touch of sophistication and a cleaner, more organized look, creating a cohesive, appealing identity that conveys credibility and trust, essential for winning and retaining customers.
With the visual project approved, our team finalized the work by delivering the design specification document, including detailed measurements, views, and a complete survey of the materials, colors, textures, and lighting used, ensuring every aspect of the design was executed perfectly and the proposed gas station visual identity stayed intact.
